Moreish Meets Moorish for Spanish Olive Oil

Ético is an early harvest extra virgin olive oil from Subbetica, Andalucia. Ético is Spanish for Ethical and as the name suggests it’s a brand with a focus on sustainability. Ético believe in traditional farming methods and also pay their growers a fair rate for their olives. Their oil is also extremely healthy and delicious.

We mostly associate olive oil with Italy, when in fact Spain produces far more and even exports most of it to Italy! For the Ético branding and packaging we sought to combine sustainability and nature with the providence and production of the oil. The label shows a journey through tiles featuring the Subbetica landscape from the sun, sky, wildlife, mountains, olive groves and mill wheels down to the oil itself. Each tile pattern is influenced by classic Moorish and Spanish patterns. The brand colours reflect those found throughout Subbetica.
