Drawing on Lyrical Inspiration

Over several months Jonathan and I began talking about his new album, which he had only just started to write. It had a loose central theme but was still very embryonic. I began sketching ides for the cover, which became more and more conceptual. Jonathan asked me if I would like to hand draw the whole album art - how could I say no?

Each of the song titles is woven into the image and the covers for the 3 singles are recoloured crops from the album illustration - each has a video with animated drawing elements bookending it. For Counting Down The Days I created an animation for the whole video.
