Hooting Owl is a small batch, London Dry Gin hailing from the historic village of Barmby Moor at the foothills of the Yorkshire Wolds. Each gin is inspired by a different region of Yorkshire and is distilled using at least 15 botanicals.

The name Hooting Owl is inspired by a gold owl sculpture that sits above the entrance to the original manor house distillery. The original label bore an illustration of a victorian gent with an owl head, named Sir Owlfred Tyton Hodgins! We rationalised this idea by creating a backstory for Sir Owlfred which tied him to the Hooting Owl recipe, production and location. For the branding and packaging we created a unique illustration that weaves the gin botanicals into his coat, with a bespoke logotype on his chest.
